Hi there!

It has been a while since I last posted.  In the meantime, I have participated in a triathlon without having practiced swimming nor biking; I celebrated 60 weeks of running; and I am trying to lower my expectations for the big run this weekend.

Triathlon: if I had not registered back in December, I would not have done so in the days leading up to the race.  I need to realistic.  Whereas I had promised to get into the pool once a week in what was to be the New Year, I failed to dip my toe in water until race day!  Swimming and me are as two, to play off the old expression.  All this to say that my focus was on surviving the swim.

And I did!

Remembering to (1) stay a steady pace, (2) not to kick too fast, (3) breathe calmly, and (4) enjoy the experience, I made it through in 11:49, 11 seconds faster than I had planned.  Once I got over that hump, I did not care too much about the rest.  In
